Dalla ristrutturazione un gruppo di tre piccole villette esistenti costruite all’inizio degli anni ’80 e poste a trecento metri dalla costa in una baia che abbraccia le meravigliose acque del Nord della Sardegna, nasce questa villa pensata per passare dei periodi di vacanza immersi nella pace e nella bellezza della natura di questa terra antica che si affaccia verso un mare incontaminato.

Il contesto naturale è sicuramente l’elemento ispiratore di tutto il progetto, a partire dalla disposizione degli spazi interni tutti protesi verso il mare attraverso le grandi aperture introdotte sul lato Sud-Ovest da cui si gode un meraviglioso panorama fatto di macchia mediterranea, massi di granito levigati dal vento che poi si perde all’infinito tra mare e cielo.

Dall’unione e collegamento delle casette esistenti sono usciti spazi volutamente irregolari e complessi sia all’interno che nei fronti e nei porticati che circondano e proteggono la villa.

L’obiettivo era la massima permeabilità e continuità tra gli interni, i porticati e infine il giardino che si fonde con la natura circostante.

Le scelte dei materiali e dei colori impiegati hanno come linea conduttrice il rapporto con la natura. Con l’uso attento di materie prime (granito a spacco, travi in legno scortecciato e lasciato naturale, cannicciato per le coperture dei porticati) e la scelta di colori e superfici (intonaco color terra sulle facciate, pavimenti esterni in cemento lisciato color sabbia) si è cercato, oltre a un giusto rapporto tra il manufatto con il luogo, di trasmettere alle persone che abitano in questa casa anche una sensazione di totale immersione nel luogo. 

The restructuring of a group of three small existing villas built at the start of the 1980s and situated three hundred metres from the coast in a bay that embraces the stunning waters of northern Sardinia, resulted in this villa designed for spending holidays immersed in the peace and beauty of the nature of this ancient land overlooking an uncontaminated sea.

The natural context is certainly the inspirational feature of this project, starting with the arrangement of the interior spaces all facing the sea through the large openings introduced on the south-west side which afford a spectacular panorama comprising the Mediterranean and granite boulders smoothed by the wind, and which then carries on to infinity between the sea and the sky.

The union and connection of the existing houses produced deliberately irregular and complex spaces both inside and in the façades and the porches that surround and protect the villa.

The goal was the utmost permeability and continuity between the interiors, porches and finally the garden which merges with the surrounding nature.

The choice of the materials and colours used share the common theme of the relationship with nature. The careful use of raw materials (split granite, wooden beams stripped of bark and untreated, reed matting for the porch roofs) and the choice of the colours and surfaces (earth-coloured plaster on the façades, outside paving in sand-coloured smooth concrete) attempts to convey, to the people that live in this house, not only the right relationship between the structure and the place but also a feeling of total immersion in the setting.
