Showroom MH _ Udine

2006

The project concerns the fitting out of a small space used as a showroom and offices for a company that produces designer chairs. The available space, around 120 sq m, is located in the city in a building from the early 1900s.

The two transparent walls that define the office are positioned at a certain angle which generates a series of spaces with very specific perspectives and that respond well to the customer's requirements, creating different areas.

This dynamic line also gives shape to the white platforms of varying heights, which will accommodate the items in the collections proposed by the company, as well as the reception counter made of Corian.

The black linoleum flooring is waxed for easier maintenance. The walls, casings and the rest of the furnishings are pure white, except for the walls at the back of the main space facing the display windows.

Different choices were made for the lighting, aimed at enhancing the contrasts between the vertical and horizontal surfaces: halogen spotlights for the display area, and mainly fluorescent lighting for the office and visitor reception areas. In the corner furthest from the natural light of the showroom, designed to accommodate a large table for trading operations, is a back-lit wall with an opaline sheet with a lighting system inside capable of emitting a warm light as well as a blue light to be used at night when the exhibition is closed and it can be seen from the street through the display windows.
